Actor Park Seo-joon and singer Sung Si-kyung confessed that they were victims of bullying during their school days.
On the 7th, a video titled ‘Sung Si-kyung‘s I’ll Meet You | I Fell in Love with Seo-joon for the First Time I Met him’ was uploaded to YouTube channel ‘Sung Si-kyung’.
On this day, Park Seo-joon opened up about his childhood by saying, “I hated my personality so much when I was in the 3rd year of middle school. I couldn‘t go anywhere and I hated myself so much.“
Sung Si-kyung then asked, “You must have been okay and tall, but you weren’t bullied by your friends, right?
Park Seo-joon said, “I was bullied a lot in elementary school. He revealed, ”Even in middle school, I was one of the really quiet ones.“
Sung Si-kyung then confessed to having been bullied in the past, saying, ”There‘s a lot of controversy about bullying these days, but I think this is my first time speaking out. It was hell from my first year to my fourth year.“
He continued, ”I was subjected to a bit of ’staying after it was over.‘ At the time, I wasn’t the type to hit anyone and I didn‘t like fighting. But now that it’s over, I think it was better than hitting someone. Kids are so innocent, and just as innocent, they‘re also so innocently bad.“
Park Seo-joon said, ”In the end, I think it’s a problem of self-esteem and confidence. At that time, I was a kid who naturally thought, ‘I’m nothing special,‘ and had a lot of low confidence, but after I started acting, I gained confidence and was able to talk. I really worked hard because it was the first time in my life that I experienced something I wanted to do.“
