Actor Park Sang-min was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence for his third drunk driving charge.
On the 13th, the Suwon District Court Anyang Branch Criminal Division 2 (Judge Jeon Seo-young) sentenced actor Park Sang-min, who was indicted on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act, to 6 months in prison and 2 years of probation.
In his final statement, Park Sang-min appealed for leniency, saying, “I will reflect on my shortcomings and make sure this never happens again.”
Park Sang-min is accused of driving his car while intoxicated near his home in Gwacheon City last May. He was caught by the police who were dispatched after receiving a report from a witness after falling asleep in an alley before returning home. At the time, Park Sang-min’s blood alcohol level was reportedly at a level that would have resulted in his license being revoked.
Park Sang-min was previously caught for drunk driving in 1997 and 2011. Park Sang-min, who debuted in the 1990 film ‘The General‘s Son’, has appeared in numerous films and dramas.
