BTS‘s V’s pet dog Yeontan has passed away.
On the 2nd, V wrote on his SNS, “It seems like it‘s been a while since I greeted you with a song. I’m having fun preparing for the duet with my favorite hyung (Park) Hyo-shin, and the carol with Bing Crosby, whom I respect so much, that will be released soon. Here we go again, December,” he said, sharing his recent news.
V then said, “Recently, Yeontan went on a long journey to Puppy Star.” “I thought a lot about how I should tell you, but I thought it would be right to tell all of you ARMYs who have shown me so much love so far, so I decided to share the news.”
He continued, “I think it would be great if you could think of Yeontan once in a while so that he can be happy even on the stars,” adding, “I hope this will be a warm year-end where you can tell your loved ones around you that you love them one more time. I hope you stay healthy until the day we meet again.”
V looked back on the memories he had with Yeontan while conveying his affectionate feelings. It aroused sorrow because it contained affectionate moments between V and Yeontan.
Yeontan is famous to the public, including ARMY (BTS fandom name), as V‘s pet dog, to the point that he was introduced on portal site profiles. V’s first solo album ‘Layover‘ album cover was also decorated with Yeontan, and he also performed a solo song with him, drawing attention.
Meanwhile, V enlisted in the army as an active-duty soldier in December of last year and is currently serving in the Special Mission Team (SDT) of the 2nd Army Corps Military Police Brigade located in Chuncheon, Gangwon-do.
