Singer and actress IU has been selected as the Korean representative for Billboard‘s ‘Global No. 1 Artist Series’. On the 18th (Korean time), Billboard collaborated with Billboard Korea and released an article titled ‘IU’s Success: Unprecedented for a Female K-Pop Solo Singer’. Billboard said that IU is “irreplaceable” as she is smoothly performing as a singer, actress, and entertainer. It also noted her musical achievements, such as her performance at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, saying, “The love of the K-pop fandom, and Korean music fans in general, is absolute”. She will be releasing ‘Deceived’ on Netflix next year.
