Professor Seo Kyung-duk of Sungshin Women‘s University once again shared his connection with actress Song Hye-kyo.

Professor Seo Kyung-duk said, “It‘s been great to be able to steadily work on meaningful things with Song Hye-kyo for the past 14 years. We have donated Korean-language guidebooks to famous art galleries and museums around the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto. Also, we have donated Korean language guidebooks, Korean signboards, and reliefs of independence activists to 37 sites around the world where Korean independence movement historical sites remain. I think Song Hye-kyo’s greatest strengths are her ‘sincerity’ and ‘consistency’,“ he said, praising Song Hye-kyo.

Professor Seo Kyung-duk said, ”There is a famous anecdote about when Mitsubishi Motors of Japan offered me a Chinese advertisement model a long time ago, but I refused because it was a war criminal company. I still vividly remember the story at the time, saying, ‘I think it is only natural that we are doing meaningful work at sites of Korean independence movement historical sites together with the professor.’ I think this sincerity has been the biggest driving force that has allowed us to work together for the past 14 years.“

Finally, Professor Seo Kyung-duk said, ”This year marks the 80th anniversary of liberation. So the two of us are preparing for more meaningful things. Please look forward to it,” foreshadowing a special journey with Song Hye-kyo.

I still vividly remember appearing on the show 5 years ago and introducing the ‘Okmae Mine’, where the largest forced mobilization took place during the Japanese colonial period, to my grandparents and grandchildren.

Anyway, I‘m so glad that I’ve been able to continue doing meaningful things with Hye-kyo for the past 14 years.

We‘ve donated Korean guidebooks to famous art galleries and museums around the world, such as the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, and the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) in Toronto.

We’ve also donated Korean guidebooks to Korean language guidebooks at historic sites of the Korean independence movement that remain around the world. We have donated guidebooks, Korean signs, and reliefs of independence activists to 37 places.
