Actor Lee Dong-wook creates a new face with his strong presence in the movie ‘Harbin’.

‘Harbin’, which will be released on December 25, is a film about Ahn Jung-geun‘s Harbin independence movement. It depicts the breathtaking pursuit and suspicion between those who head to Harbin with a single goal and those who pursue them in 1909.

In the drama, Lee Dong-wook transforms into Lee Chang-seop, an independence fighter who opposed Ahn Jung-geun but shared the same conviction to protect his country, and will show a new side of himself that we have never seen before.

Lee Dong-wook said, “Lee Chang-seop is a character with a strong uprightness who believes that he must lead the country’s independence even if it means armed struggle. Especially, as a comrade who shares the same ideals as Ahn Jung-geun, I thought that he was someone I could freely express my opinions on methods for independence because I had deep friendship and trust with him. That‘s why, for me, the period of filming ’Harbin‘ was a process of capturing these aspects well,” he said, conveying his sincerity about the character.

Director Woo Min-ho, who worked with Lee Dong-wook in this production, was also surprised to discover a new side of actor Lee Dong-wook through ’Hell is Other People‘. “I am proud that you will once again be able to see his new face, which perfectly captures the impactful presence of Lee Chang-seop in ‘Harbin’,” he said.

Meanwhile, ‘Harbin’ is a work in which director Woo Min-ho and Hive Media Corp., which has produced all of his films since ‘Insiders’, have once again joined forces.
