CGV will be the first to screen the short film ‘M Hotel’, produced using generative artificial intelligence (AI), in domestic theaters for the first time.
The film ‘M Hotel’ deals with the mysterious story that unfolds when a homeless man who has been complaining about his fate his whole life accidentally finds a hotel key. Despite its short running time of 6 minutes and 31 seconds, it is receiving favorable reviews for containing deep insight into life.
The film ‘M Hotel’ has garnered attention at prestigious international AI film festivals, including the Venice AI International Film Awards Official Selection, Cannes World Film Festival Best AI Film Winner, and New York AMT Film Festival Best AI Film Winner. It has also been invited to the Busan International Artificial Intelligence Film Festival (BIAIF), which will be held at the Haeundae Cinema Center in Busan from the 6th to the 8th.
The movie ‘M Hotel’ will be shown at 20 theaters nationwide, including CGV Gangnam, Wangsimni, and Yongsan I‘Park Mall, starting on the 11th. Tickets cost 1,000 won, and reservations will be available starting on the 5th.
CGV is also holding an event to commemorate the release of ‘M Hotel’. Customers who reserve ‘M Hotel’ through the CGV mobile app can purchase ‘Sunsak Popcorn’ for 1,000 won at the integrated payment stage. Customers who watch ‘M Hotel’ will also receive a free medium cola coupon on a first-come, first-served basis when they print out their tickets on the day.
