The immersive viewing point of the movie ‘Expedition Villa’ with realistic horror has been revealed.

‘Expedition Villa’, released on the 4th, tells the story of a young man trying to protect his family from neighbors who become uneasy after illegal flyers are distributed one day in an old villa in the suburbs.

The movie, which has been a hot topic even before its release as a place of horror following ‘Gonjiam’, ‘Ghost of Oksu Station’, and ‘Neulbom Garden’, is the first viewing point of the movie, which is the realistic horror that takes place in a familiar place.

The realistic setting of conflict between neighbors centered around an old villa commonly seen around the city doubles the sense of horror.

In a reality where it is not unfamiliar to hear news of major fights over noise between floors and between the neighbors in multi-family housing such as apartments and villas, this film densely depicts the mysterious incidents that occur when such conflicts meet an old villa.

The second is the actors‘ perfect acting skills. Lee Hyun-woo, who plays Joo-hyun, who lives in room 203, captures attention with a new side different from the cheerful image he showed in his previous works.

Joo-hyun is a sincere young man who lives with his sick mother and young nephew, but he is also a selfish character.

Lee Hyun-woo increases the immersion of the film by delicately acting out a multi-layered character who becomes increasingly sensitive and explodes with deep anger that he had been hiding as he frequently clashes with Shin-hye, who lives in room 303 above.

Moon Jung-hee, who plays Shin-hye, who causes conflict with Lee Hyun-woo, raises expectations by foreshadowing another life character with her creepy acting, from a selfish neighbor you might meet in everyday life to a madness that kindly wins over people by falling into a cult.

The third is the realistic horror of the villa, which is another main character and setting of the movie.

The villa in the movie was actually filmed in a villa in Busan where no residents live due to redevelopment approval. The filming location still has placards and posters related to redevelopment, making it the perfect place for the actors to immerse themselves as villa residents.

The production design details that implement everyday spaces as they are with the setting and design that make it seem like people live in an empty house that no one lives in, adding to the realism of the movie and inviting the audience into an even more eerie, realistic horror.
