The sequel to the 2010 hit ‘Hitman’, which attracted 2.4 million viewers with its comedic action starring Kwon Sang-woo, ‘Hitman 2’, has confirmed its theatrical release in January 2025 and revealed its launching poster.

‘Hitman 2’ is a comic action film about Jun, who went from a blockbuster writer to a ‘brain-killing writer’ in an instant, when a terrorist attack imitating his ambitious new webtoon occurs and he is suddenly branded a criminal. Original members Kwon Sang-woo, Jung Joon-ho, Lee Yi-kyung, Hwang Woo-seul-hye, and Lee Ji-won have been joined by new cast member Kim Sung-oh.

The released launching poster catches the eye with the back of Jun (Kwon Sang-woo) shrouded in darkness against the backdrop of the splendid night view of the city. The copy of ‘HITMAN IS BACK’ welcomes Jun‘s comeback from a legendary assassin to a salty webtoon writer and now a blockbuster writer, adding to the curiosity. His overly powerful shoulders and charismatic back make people laugh, while a wisp of smoke blooming from the pencil in his hand foreshadows Jun’s powerful performance that will unfold again following the previous episode.
