The sequel to the 2003 zombie film ‘28 Days Later’ and the 2007 ‘28 Weeks Later’, ‘28 Years Later’, has confirmed its release in June 2025 and released a teaser trailer.

‘28 Years Later’ is about a group of survivors who live in complete isolation on an island after a virus that swept the world away was leaked from a biological weapons laboratory 30 years ago. One of them goes off the island on a mission and discovers the secret that everyone, regardless of whether they are infected or survivors, is mutating, leading to extreme fear. This is the new film in the series of ‘28 Days Later’, which is considered one of the best horror films of the 2000s and is the leader in well-made zombie films, and the film that first introduced the ‘Running Zombie’.

The teaser trailer that was released this time begins with a desperate look of a woman yelling at her children who are huddled together watching TV to stay still, and the gruesome sight of people being attacked and bleeding outside the window is shown, giving the viewers a breathtaking horror. Next, the tension is heightened by the depiction of the survivors‘ struggles to survive the attacks of the infected in a reality more terrifying than hell.

This film, which is expected to expand on the sensational story presented in the first film, is directed by Danny Boyle of ‘28 Days Later’, and Alex Garland participated in the screenplay. Jodie Comer, Aaron Jones, and Ralph Fiennes star. Above all, Cillian Murphy, who won the Best Actor Award at the 96th Academy Awards for ‘Oppenheimer’ and starred in ‘28 Days Later’, participated as an executive producer.
