tvN drama ‘Misaeng’ (written by Jung Yoon-jung and directed by Kim Won-seok) will be screened in special at CGV to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
According to Studio Dragon, the drama ‘Misaeng’ is a dramatization of the webtoon of the same name by writer Yoon Tae-ho. It tells the story of the main character Jang Geu-rae (played by Im Si-wan), who has been everything in his life to baduk, being thrown into the harsh reality after failing to become a professional player. At the time of its broadcast, it densely portrayed life and company life from the perspective of Jang Geu-rae, a freshman in society, and recorded an average viewership rating of 8.4% and a peak of 10.3% in the final episode, contributing to the transformation of tvN, which had been a cable channel, into a comprehensive entertainment channel.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the broadcast of ‘Misaeng’, Studio Dragon and CGV will screen the 13th episode, which is considered a legendary episode out of the 20 episodes of ‘Misaeng’, as ‘Misaeng: It was decided to screen in theaters under the title ‘It Could Not Be More’. It will be screened at 17 theaters nationwide, including CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall, starting on the 20th, and advance sales will open on the 12th. Episode 13 of ‘Misaeng’ was a hot topic, with the part where Sales Team 3‘s Jordan business PT, which was carried out based on Jang Geu-rae’s idea, and Oh Sang-sik praising Jang Geu-rae, saying ‘It Could Not Be More’.
An event where you can meet the production crew and cast of ‘Misaeng’ has also been prepared. A live talk where you can meet director Kim Won-seok, writers Jung Yoon-jung and Yoon Tae-ho, as well as actors Lee Sung-min, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Kang So-ra, Kim Dae-myung, and Byun Yo-han, will be held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall at 7:40 PM on the 20th for a special screening of ‘Misaeng: It Could Not Be More’. The event will be held at CGV Gangnam, CGV Wangsimni, CGV Incheon, and other theaters nationwide. It will be broadcast live in 12 theaters.
Studio Dragon and CGV will donate the proceeds from this screening to CJ Donors Camp‘s ‘Dream Cultivation Academy’, which helps underemployed youth achieve practical independence, and to youth in need of help at care facilities nationwide to become independent. In addition, the Korea Broadcasting Performers’ Rights Association added a warm hand by donating an additional amount for this meaningful event.
