The movie ‘Big Family’ starring Kim Yun-seok and Lee Seung-gi is expected to continue the word-of-mouth race as it has been well-received by actual viewers since its release on the 11th.
‘Big Family’ is ranked in the top 2 of the Korean box office along with ‘Firefighter’, and has emerged as a dark horse in theaters in December as it has led the double-crossing box office of Korean movies. In particular, it received explosive rave reviews from viewers on the first day of its release, recording 96% in the CGV Golden Egg Index, which is the actual viewer rating, the highest rating among Korean movies currently showing.
In particular, viewers are unanimously saying that it is “a movie that the whole family can watch in the theater”. In fact, there were responses such as “a work that makes you think again about the meaning of family”, “It‘s funny but also sad. These days, I’ve been feeling the importance of family even more because things are so chaotic, and this is a good movie that finally lets you feel the meaning of family”, and “a movie that comforts your heart in the cold winter”.
The movie ‘Big Family’ is about the owner (Kim Yoon-seok) of a dumpling restaurant ‘Pyeongmanok’, whose family tree has been cut off because of his son (Lee Seung-gi) who became a monk, and the cute grandchildren he‘s never seen before visit him, leading to an unimaginable and amazing cohabitation.
