The new ‘Superman’ is back. The film ‘Superman’, directed and written by James Gunn, has confirmed its release in July 2025 and released a teaser poster.
Director James Gunn, who captivated movie fans with his unrivaled directing from the ‘The Suicide Squad’ to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ series, has been appointed as the new head of DC Studios and will be directing and writing the new ‘Superman’, heralding a meeting with fans around the world. ‘Superman’ is a character representing DC Comics, and is a legendary character that has been loved for a long time through numerous contents and has an important meaning in film history.
The actor who will play Superman in ‘Superman’, which will open a new chapter in the DC Universe and be released in July 2025, is David Corenswet. He drew rave reviews from James Gunn, saying, “He will completely surprise everyone,” and recently appeared in director Lee Isaac Chung‘s ‘Twisters’. He also appeared in the Netflix series ‘House of Cards’, ‘The Politician’, and is considered a new actor to watch for in the future.
In addition, Rachel Brosnahan, who has won awards at various award ceremonies from the Golden Globe to the Critics’ Choice, will play Lois Lane, and Nicholas Hoult, who has shown great acting in various works such as the ‘X-Men’ series, ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, and ‘Those Who Want Me Dead’, will play Lex Luthor, Superman‘s arch-rival.
