Actor Kim Min-ha, who received rave reviews for her portrayal of the hardships endured by Koreans in Japan during the Japanese colonial period in Apple TV+‘s ‘Pachinko’, has captivated viewers once again with her outstanding acting in Disney+’s ‘The Lighting Store’. Next year, she will present her first leading role in the big screen, ‘Exposure: The Child Who Closed His Eyes’.

Kim Min-ha has once again shown her presence with deep acting that goes back and forth between fear and sadness in ‘The Lighting Store’, which is being released from the 4th. He took on the role of writer Seon-hae, who becomes confused after experiencing strange things in his new house. He brought out the character‘s feelings of fear, despair, and dread to the max as he experiences inexplicable things like a repetitive singing sound every day and the electricity going out in the house, but cannot leave the house.

Regarding this, Kim Min-ha explained, “I tried hard to express the sensitive character’s side. I focused on expressing the emotions that come when that sensitive person experiences something.”

He didn‘t just express simple fear. After remembering that the unknown entity that had put him in fear in the house was his same-sex lover Hye-won, he expressed guilt and regret for saying harsh words to Hye-won in the past, increasing the immersion in the play with his deep and complex emotional acting. The sight of her bursting into tears like a child, gasping for breath, brought tears to the viewers’ eyes.
