With the Korean version of the film ‘Secret That Cannot Be Told’ coming to the screen, expectations are rising for Do Kyung-soo‘s first melodrama acting.

‘Secret That Cannot Be Told’ is a fantasy romance that contains a miraculous and magical moment that begins when Yoo-jun and Jung-ah accidentally meet in a campus practice room where the secret of time is hidden. It is based on a Taiwanese film that was released in 2008.

EXO member Do Kyung-soo previously left a deep impression in the drama ‘It’s Okay, That‘s Love’, showing off acting skills that were unusual for a rookie. Since then, he has been loved by the public for his stable acting in many works such as the movie ‘Hyung’, the ‘Along with the Gods’ series, ‘Swing Kids’, ‘The Moon’, and the dramas ‘100 Days My Prince’, ‘Jin Geum Seung Bu’.

In this work, he plays the role of Yoo Jun, a genius pianist and music college student, and presents his first melodramatic performance on the screen. Yoo Jun is a character who works as a pianist abroad but comes to Korea as an exchange student and falls in love with Jung Ah (Won Jin Ah). Do Kyung Soo will show various sides of himself, including his passionate romantic acting that captures various emotions such as the excitement and conflict of first love, as well as his professional side as a pianist.

Director Seo Yoo Min, who was in charge of directing, said about Do Kyung Soo, “Do Kyung Soo was the first actor I thought of when I wrote the scenario. He said, “I liked the romantic and romantic feeling that is unique to musicians, and the atmospheric voice,” expressing his thoughts on working with Do Kyung-soo.

In particular, since his character is a pianist, there were many scenes where he played the piano, and Do Kyung-soo, who was playing the piano for the first time in a work, had to go through several practice sessions to get it right. Do Kyung-soo also revealed a behind-the-scenes story, saying, “In addition to playing the piano, I practiced what kind of beats and motions pianists use when moving their hands.”

The fantasy romance film ‘The Secret That Cannot Be Told’, which features Do Kyung-soo’s perfect transformation into a pianist, is scheduled to be released in January 2025.
