Song Joong-ki: “I envy my seniors who had fun filming every episode” (Bogota)

The actors of the movie “Bogota” shared their experiences filming overseas.

First, Kim Jong-soo said at the press conference for the movie “Bogota: Land of Last Chance” held at Megabox COEX in Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 19th, “The unfamiliar location was a great force in leading the play and giving it a sense of presence. I didn‘t have much prior knowledge, but the staff prepared a lot, so I was able to focus on filming.”

Park Ji-hwan recalled, “We were together every day and had meals together, so we could talk more about the project. It was a good time.” Kwon Hae-hyo said, “In the movie, the place we were in District 6 of Colombia. It was a pretty peaceful place. “I tried to feel like a local by feeling people’s breathing on the street whenever I had time and tanning on the rooftop of a hotel whenever I had time,” he confessed.

Lee Hee-joon said, “I went to a salsa academy because I wanted to feel the local rhythm. I also went to a dance academy on my days off from filming. It was a confined space and could be dangerous, so I stayed in a safe space. I think we just talked about our work every day.”

Song Joong-ki said, “I filmed every episode. I think my seniors had fun, but I envy them. Filming overseas, to be honest, was not easy because there are many unexpected variables,” and “Rather than focusing on the unfamiliar environment, I focused on the narrative that deals with the conflicts of Koreans in a place that is far away from home, no matter where it is. I came up with a lot of unexpected ideas while talking a lot with my seniors and the staff. “I gained a lot of strength from my colleagues,” he said.

‘Bogota: The Land of Last Chance’ is a film that depicts the story of Guk-hee (Song Joong-ki), who heads to Bogota, Colombia, on the other side of the world with new hope right after the IMF, and gets entangled with Soo-young (Lee Hee-joon) and Byeong-jang Park (Kwon Hae-hyo), who are powerful figures in the Bogota Korean community. It is set in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, and has raised expectations by capturing exotic scenery such as Cartagena, a resort city in the Caribbean, and Cyprus, an island nation in the Mediterranean. It will be released in theaters on the last day of the year, December 31st.
