Song Joong-ki “I like new cultures and locations, I‘m curious” (Bogota)

Actor Song Joong-ki revealed why he chose the movie ‘Bogota: Land of Last Chance’.

At the press conference for the movie ‘Bogota: Land of Last Chance’ held at Megabox COEX in Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 19th, Song Joong-ki said, “I like doing things I’ve never done before. I‘ve always liked working with people from new cultures and in new environments that I’ve never worked with before. I was very curious.”.

He explained, “I was curious about what it would be like to speak Spanish in ‘Bogota: Land of Opportunity’, just like I spoke Italian lines in the drama ‘Vincenzo’. My curiosity played a big part in my choice.” He continued, “In addition, if we talk about the character‘s narrative, isn’t it true that a pure and innocent child comes to believe that he has to survive because of his father? I really wanted to express that change well.”

‘Bogota: The Land of Last Chance’ is a film that depicts the story of Guk-hee (Song Joong-ki), who heads to Bogota, Colombia on the other side of the world with new hope right after the IMF, and gets entangled with Soo-young (Lee Hee-joon) and Byeong-jang Park (Kwon Hae-hyo), the powerful figures in the Bogota Korean community. With Bogota, the capital of Colombia, as the main location, it is garnering much anticipation by capturing exotic scenery such as Cartagena, a resort city in the Caribbean, and Cyprus, an island nation in the Mediterranean. It will be released in theaters on December 31st, the last day of the year, to meet audiences.
