Yoon Ga-i is shedding the ‘SNL’ label and showing off her presence as an ‘actor’. Having made his face and name known through Coupang Play‘s ‘SNL Korea’, he is attracting attention by showing off his outstanding acting skills through dramas without being caught up in his entertainment image.
Last year, he joined the ‘SNL Korea’ Season 4 crew and played an active role, even winning the Rookie Entertainment Award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards. He recently appeared as a ‘scene stealer’ in ‘Family Plan’, which became the highest-grossing Coupang Play original series of all time. Yoon Ga-yi plays the role of Mi-ok, the leader of a gang of runaways and a confidant of Director Oh Gil-ja (played by Kim Gook-hee), who commits extremely evil acts.
In the drama, he threatens Baek Ji-woo (Lee Soo-hyun), the daughter of Young-soo (Bae Doo-na) and Baek Cheol-hee (Ryu Seung-beom), and starts a fight at school. He also invites Han Young-soo to Director Oh Gil-ja’s house and assists in confining him, showing off his maddening gaze and not hesitating to commit vicious acts on par with the villain Oh Gil-ja. The cute and cheerful image he had shown in entertainment content such as ‘SNL Korea’ was nowhere to be found. At the end of the drama, with Director Oh Gil-ja being punished by Han Young-soo, viewers are also paying attention to how Mi-ok‘s whereabouts will affect Oh Young-soo’s family.

Following ‘Family Plan’, Yoon Ga-yi will meet viewers once again through the SBS drama ‘My Perfect Secretary’, which will first air on January 3rd next year. In the drama, which depicts the romance between a headhunter company CEO (Han Ji-min) who knows how to do everything but work and a secretary (Lee Joon-hyuk) who can do everything, he plays a capable consultant at a headhunter company. He is expected to garner sympathy from viewers as a character with a loyal personality who takes responsibility for the work given to him, while also showcasing a ‘womance’ with his boss Han Ji-min in the drama.
Yoon Ga-yi‘s activities will continue on the big screen. Through an audition, she joined the new film ‘Inevitable’, directed by ‘master’ Park Chan-wook, following ‘Decision to Leave’. Known as the ‘lifelong project’ that Director Park has been preparing for for years, Yoon Ga-yi will be joining a star-studded lineup that includes Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, Cha Seung-won, and Yoo Yeon-seok. The film is based on ‘The AXE’, and is about a company employee who was living a satisfactory life but gets fired and prepares for his own battle to get re-employed.
