Song Hye-kyo‘s impulsive behavior + bold appearance... ‘The Nuns’ is intense

The making-of video of the movie ‘The Nuns’ has been released.

‘The Nuns’, the sequel to ‘The Priests’, is a movie that tells the story of people who embark on a forbidden ritual to save a boy possessed by a powerful evil spirit.

The video released this time captures the actors’ efforts to immerse themselves in their characters and the delicate production process from completing the film. First, Oh Hyo-jin, the production director of House Film, explained that the story of “The Black Nuns” began with the question, “The 12 Forms have reappeared in Korea, but what should we do without Choi Jun-ho and Kim Beom-shin, who have performed exorcisms?”

Lee Jin-wook said, “There are many movies about exorcisms, but I think this is the first time I‘ve seen a movie with nuns as the main characters performing the ritual.” The unique setting of two nuns who are not permitted to exorcise spirits in the absence of an exorcist priest embarking on a forbidden ritual increases the level of anticipation. Also, Song Hye-kyo, who said, “I think that her impulsive behavior and blunt speech will be refreshing in a movie,” is expected to leave a strong impression with her captivating performance as the blunt nun “Unia.”

In addition, the production team’s efforts to inject a sense of realism into the movie raise expectations for the delicate directing unique to “The Nuns in Black.” As music director Kim Tae-seong said, “I put a lot of thought into maximizing the strange moments in our daily lives,” and art director Jo Hwa-seong said, “I wanted to make it look like an uncomfortable space where familiarity breaks down,” the music and art that express the cracks in daily life in detail will convey a sense of familiarity and unfamiliarity to the audience at the same time, and will maximize the film’s sense of realism.

‘The Black Nuns’, which released a production video of ‘Starting the Forbidden Ritual’ that contains the actors’ efforts to complete the characters and the delicate production process, is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 24, 2025.
