Director Bong Joon-ho‘s film ‘Mickey 17’ has confirmed its worldwide release, first in Korea, on February 28, 2025. The film is hitting theaters earlier than its scheduled global release date of March 7, raising fans’ expectations. Lead actor Robert Pattinson will visit Korea on January 20 to meet with Korean media and fans in person and begin global promotional activities in Korea.
‘Mickey 17’ is a film that depicts an unpredictable story that unfolds when Mickey, an expendable item (Expendable) who is put to dangerous work and is reprinted when he dies, is faced with his 17th death crisis, and Mickey 18 is printed while thinking he is dead. In the film, Robert Pattinson plays two completely different Mickeys who seem to be playing two roles.
According to an insider, Robert Pattinson, who is visiting Korea for the first time through this film, decided to visit Korea this time because he strongly wanted to visit Korea, director Bong Joon-ho‘s home country, despite his busy schedule filming his next film.
He will visit Korea on the 20th to film ‘Mickey 17’ with director Bong Joon-ho. After the screening of the footage of ‘17’, there will be a press conference with the Korean press to share various stories about ‘Mickey 17’, and there will also be a chance to meet fans directly, including a stage greeting.
