‘Ghost Cop’ Shin Hyun-joon shed tears while mentioning the late Kim Soo-mi.

On the afternoon of the 13th, a press conference for the movie ‘Ghost Cop’ was held at CGV Yongsan I-PARK MALL in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Actor Shin Hyun-joon and director Kim Young-joon attended the press conference that day.

On that day, regarding the sequel to ‘Ghost Cop’, Shin Hyun-joon said, “The scene where my mother (the late Kim Soo-mi) is struck by lightning, she said that she hopes we make a good movie and make it into a series. In the second part, the mother develops superpowers, but she passed away”, and he couldn‘t continue speaking and started to cry.

Shin Hyun-joon continued, “But they told us not to edit out the scenes where my mother appears, so we ended up using all the scenes as is. He said, “I started this movie thinking of it as a franchise movie.”

Lastly, he asked the audience to watch the movie, saying, “Think of it as the last gift my mother gave me, and I hope many viewers enjoy that gift.”

Meanwhile, “Ghost Cop” is a family comedy about a cop who gains a minor ability after being struck by lightning out of the blue after failing to make a fortune and getting entangled in unexpected incidents with his family. It will be released on the 24th.
