Actor Do Kyung-soo showed his deep satisfaction with the film, ‘The Secret That Cannot Be Told’, his first melodrama.
‘The Secret That Cannot Be Told’, which will be released on the 28th, is a remake of the 2008 Taiwanese film of the same name starring Jay Chou. It depicts the miraculous romance that begins when Yoo-jun (Do Kyung-soo) and Jung-ah (Won Jin-ah) accidentally meet in a campus practice room where the secret of time is hidden.
Doh Kyung-soo said at a press and distribution preview held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 14th, “I liked the original so much that I naturally chose this film. Also, I don‘t know how to play the piano, but I was able to act out playing the piano through the character of Yoo-jun, and because it was a melodrama, a genre I had never done before, I chose this project without hesitation,“ he said.
He then expressed his satisfaction with his chemistry with Won Jin-ah and Shin Ye-eun, who acted in the romantic comedy together, saying, ”The chemistry with the two of them was really good. There were almost no NGs while filming.“
He added, ”The only thing I was worried about was that since our movie is a melodrama, I was worried that lines like ’I play for you‘ might sound too cheesy, but I talked a lot with the director about the lines, and I’m glad that it turned out well thanks to that.“
