Actor Kwon Sang-woo expressed strong confidence by introducing the movie ‘Hitman 2’.

‘Hitman 2’, which will be released on the 22nd, is the sequel to ‘Hitman’, which was released in 2020 and attracted 2.4 million viewers. It depicts what happens when Jun (Kwon Sang-woo), who went from a blockbuster writer to a ‘brain-killing writer’ in an instant, is framed as the culprit overnight after a terrorist attack imitating his ambitious new webtoon.

Kwon Sang-woo, who plays the lead role of Jun, said at a press and distribution preview held at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 15th, “In fact, it is not a movie that recorded such a huge box office success that the first one attracted 500 million viewers to the point that a second one would be released. However, many people watched the movie on other channels afterward,” he said, adding, “More than anything, the first one was released during the COVID-19 period, which was disappointing, but in that sense, the second one feels like a ‘revenge.’ I think the second one will be able to bring joy to more viewers than the first one,” drawing attention.

Regarding this movie, which will be released during the Lunar New Year holiday, he said, “When I was young, the only movies that could be called ‘Lunar New Year movies’ were ‘Jackie Chan movies.’ I still think the same. Our movie is not a Jackie Chan movie, but (like Jackie Chan movies) it is a work that can be enjoyed by audiences of various age groups, from young friends to the elderly,” expressing his confidence by saying, “I think it is a movie with a lot to see, from action to animation.”
