Korea‘s first volleyball film, ‘1Win’, starring actors Song Kang-ho and Park Jung-min, has confirmed its December release and released its first poster.
‘1Win’ is a story about a professional women’s volleyball team with no chance of winning, including a coach who has never won, an owner who has no intention of winning, and players who don‘t know how to win, as they set out to win.
The released first poster catches the eye with Song Kang-ho laughing happily along with the ‘1Win’ logo behind a bouncing volleyball. The vivid energy of the volleyball court is conveyed through the players taking to the game, while the copy ‘Let’s win just once’ arouses curiosity about the novel challenge of those who are only aiming for ‘1Win’, not first place.
In the drama, Song Kang-ho plays the role of Kim Woo-jin, a volleyball coach who is always defeated if he touches her, and shows off his cheerful and easygoing charm. Park Jung-min plays Kang Jeong-won, the owner of a football team who makes an outrageous promise of a prize of 2 billion won for every win. Jang Yoon-ju plays Bang Soo-ji, a volleyball player who has been on the bench for 20 years.
Director Shin Yeon-sik, who swept the screenplay awards at prestigious award ceremonies for the film ‘Dongju’ and is active as a director, writer, and producer across genres and platforms with ‘Uncle Sam-sik’, ‘Cassiopeia’, ‘Actor is an Actor’, ‘Fair Love’, is taking on the role of the screenplay and directing, raising expectations.
