The horror film ‘Expedition Villa’, starring actors Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee, has confirmed its December release and revealed its launching poster.
‘Expedition Villa’ is a horror film that depicts the story of a young man trying to protect his family from neighbors in an old suburban villa who become uneasy because of illegal flyers distributed one day. It has drawn attention as a work that deals with a creepy urban legend, following the world‘s seven largest mental hospitals, the three largest haunted houses in Korea, and Oksu Station on the subway.
In particular, the film, which was invited to the 28th Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival’s Korean Fantastic Feature-length Film section and sold out all its screenings, is garnering much anticipation as actors Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee meet as neighbors in an old villa and herald an intense horror acting showdown. Also, director Kim Sun-kook, who took charge of the screenplay and direction, is a director who has built up solid skills through many short films, and he plans to fully convey the heart-wrenching fear and madness through the screen through this film.
The released launch poster conveys an eerie feeling with the appearance of an old villa that could be found somewhere in the suburbs. Among the dark windows, room 303 shines particularly brightly, and the ominous feeling of the eerie old exterior walls and the red X mark hanging over it catches the eye, while the copy, “Never come here” arouses curiosity about what is happening here.
