Actress Jung Ho-yeon showed a short but strong presence in her first Hollywood film, Apple TV+‘s ‘Disclaimer’.

‘Disclaimer’, which was first released on the 11th, is a psychological thriller series that depicts the story that unfolds when journalist ‘Catherine’ (played by Cate Blanchett), who built her reputation by exposing the evil deeds of others, receives a novel from an unknown author. Jung Ho-yeon played the role of Catherine’s assistant Ji-soo.

Ji-soo is a character who shows her respect for Catherine by taking a look at the trophy that Catherine received at the awards ceremony the day before and placing it in the most visible place on her desk. Then, she met Stephen (Kevin Kline), the writer of the novel containing Catherine‘s past, and caused a stir by informing the company of the existence of the novel.

Despite being her first English acting role, Jung Ho-yeon fully displayed her own color with her stable pronunciation and acting skills and blended into the play. She caught attention by acting out Ji-soo’s intelligence and desire for work, trying to figure out whether there are hidden intentions in order to properly carry out Catherine‘s instructions. In particular, in the scene where she hears Catherine’s story from Stephen, she showed detailed and clear facial expressions and portrayed Ji-soo‘s psychological changes toward Catherine in detail, increasing the viewer’s immersion.

Jung Ho-yeon made her Hollywood debut through ‘Disclaimer’. She was named as a cast member alongside world-renowned Hollywood actors such as Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline, as well as world-renowned director Alfonso Cuaron. Accordingly, he attended the premiere screenings of the ‘81st Venice International Film Festival‘ in August and the ’68th London International Film Festival (BFI)‘ in October, receiving the spotlight.
