Chae Seo-eun shows off her new ‘face’.

She returns as a spirited, self-reliant young man through the movie ‘How to Open the Door’, which opens on the 20th. After leaving a strong impression in the previous work ‘Hi Cookie’, where she played the role of honor student Park Hee-jin, she shows off yet another different side of herself.

‘How to Open the Door’ is a short film planned and produced by actor Kim Nam-gil and KB Kookmin Bank. It tells the story of Haneul, a young man preparing for independence, whose house, which was his first step toward independence, suddenly disappears overnight, and his struggle to find a home.

A young man preparing for independence refers to a young person who has been under the protection of child care facilities and foster families but has reached the age of 18 and must prepare to stand on his own. In the film, Haneul feels indescribably happy as he goes to a real estate agency alone for the first time to find a house and decorates it.

However, when he opens his eyes in the morning, everything in the house is gone, and the house is getting smaller and smaller.
The only thing left in the empty space is a strangely shaped ATM. At that time, his childhood friend Cheol-soo appears and says, ‘If you want to get your house back, open the door at the ATM and find the yellow bird.’ Haneul enters the world of Wonderland and goes on a strange adventure.

This unpredictable adventure mixes Haneul‘s past and future, causing surprise and confusion, but Haneul bravely and confidently faces and overcomes this situation.

Chae Seo-eun said, “Through the character of Haneul, I was able to empathize with the realistic appearance of many young people in this era.”

Director Heo Ji-ye, who was in charge of directing, said, “Chae Seo-eun digested the various emotions that young people experience, such as fear, excitement, and confusion, while standing alone with no one to lean on.” She is an actress with rich sensitivity.”
