Opening D-7 ‘Gladiator II’ Tops Overall Ticket Sales

With 7 days left until its release, the movie ‘Gladiator II’ has explosively risen to the top of overall ticket sales.

‘Gladiator II’ is a movie that depicts the story of ‘Lucius’ (Paul Mescal), who fights in the Colosseum for the fate of Rome, 20 years after the death of ‘Maximus’. Following the first film, director Ridley Scott directed the film, and new actors Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, and Fred Heckinger joined the cast. It is receiving hot attention from audiences around the world with its upgraded sword fighting action, surprising naval battles, and dramatic and rich character narrative.

Ahead of its release on the 13th, this film ranked first in advance ticket sales on the integrated computer network of the Korean Film Council on the 6th (Wednesday). As the first film to be released in Korea worldwide, ‘Gladiator II’ will be the first to reach domestic audiences, and it is expected to create an explosive box office hit in November as it quickly rose to first place in advance ticket sales just 7 days before its release. It is scheduled to be released worldwide on November 13th.
