The film ‘Away Villa’ (directed by Kim Sun-kook), starring Lee Hyun-woo and Moon Jung-hee, is considered a part of a horror quartet set in a certain place, following ‘Gonjiam’, ‘Ghost of Oksu Station’, ‘Neulbom Garden’, and is getting closer to ‘real horror’.

‘Away Villa’, which will be released in December, is a realistic horror film that tells the story of a young man struggling to protect his family and home as an old villa in an outlying city is gradually encroached upon by a cult.

The unique setting and story of a single illegal flyer causing unexpected ‘madness’ stimulates curiosity.

Here, realistic conflicts such as parking problems and noise between floors that occur daily between neighbors arouse fear that goes beyond the boundary between the movie and reality, drawing the audience in.

The film, which densely depicts creepy real-life horror, made the actors decide to appear in it after reading the script in one sitting.

Lee Hyun-woo said, “While reading the script, I felt that it was something that could easily happen around us, and I was interested in the honest emotions and appearances of various people with desires.”

Moon Jung-hee also said, “I chose the script because it was realistic and the interesting subject matter,” and “I was attracted to the story where everyday life becomes horror, so I decided to appear in it.”
