The veil has been lifted on the unique secret room thriller movie ‘Hidden Face’. The movie ‘Hidden Face’ made people wonder ‘what kind of movie will this be?’ while watching the trailer, and it caught their attention with unexpected twists and turns.

On the afternoon of the 13th, a press conference for the movie ‘Hidden Face’ was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Actors Song Seung-heon, Jo Yeo-jeong, Park Ji-hyun, and director Kim Dae-woo attended the press conference that day.

On that day, Song Seung-heon said about reuniting with Jo Yeo-jeong after 10 years since ‘Obsessed’, “While acting with Yeo-jeong, I got married without love in ‘Obsessed’, and this time too, I‘m sorry for crossing the line that I shouldn’t have with my fiancée‘s junior. Of course, it’s a work,” he said.

He added, “When acting with me, Yeo-jeong makes her partner feel so secure. She‘s an actress who does a great job of playing the roles she’s given. I was so happy and reassured that she was playing the role of Soo-yeon in this work as well. She‘s a friend who makes me want to become a great actress like her.”



Jo Yeo-jeong continued, “Of course it was hard and difficult, but because it was a movie, I enjoyed it and had a hard time. It was a work where my partners were more important than ever when acting. It was a work where I focused solely on the two of them, and my reactions were more important than ever. I tried to focus on the two of them when I went on set.”

Park Ji-hyun, who took on unconventional challenges such as the nude acting in this movie, explained, “As an actor, if I were to call it a challenge, I would say it was a huge challenge. But as an actor, when I always look at a work or a script, I always think about ’Can I digest the character well?‘ I didn’t calculate exposure or anything like that. I‘d be lying if I said I didn’t feel pressured. The pressure I had was not that much, but rather the pressure I had on set and on screen about whether I could express that scene well as the character Mi-ju.”



He said, “I gained confidence through a lot of communication and conversation with my seniors and the director. It‘s a work where I learned so much while acting. I felt loved on set. I’m not afraid of the results. I gained a lot from the process, so I‘m satisfied with that alone.”

The actors opened up about the most difficult part of filming the movie. Song Seung-heon said, “I’m not a friend who expresses my desires openly, and after my fiancée goes missing, my hidden instincts come out when I meet Mi-ju. It‘s not like I’m going to explode with reversing emotional lines, but I tried to express the detailed parts by talking a lot with the director about the tightrope-like emotions that seem to be doing something and not doing something. Since there was also a nude scene, I went on a diet for that part and fought against hunger,” she said, drawing laughter.

Jo Yeo-jeong continued, “It‘s embarrassing to say that acting in a closed room was hard because it was a scene that had to be hard. What felt the best after the technical preview was that the hardship seemed to be well captured for the movie, so that’s what made me feel the best.”



Park Ji-hyun also said, “I don‘t think there was a particularly hard scene, but I was disappointed in myself because I got greedy. Playing the cello. I practiced to look like a cellist in a short period of time, but I thought it wasn’t enough. I watched a lot of videos and wanted to do better, so it was really hard on my mind.”

Lastly, Song Seung-heon said, “It is true that Korean films and the film market are having a hard time these days. I hope that ‘Hidden Face’ can be a force that can provide a new breakthrough,” and asked for viewers to watch the film.

Meanwhile, ‘Hidden Face’ is a unique locked-room thriller that unfolds as Sung-jin (Song Seung-heon) is chasing after his missing fiancée Soo-yeon (Jo Yeo-jeong) when Soo-yeon’s junior Mi-joo (Park Ji-hyun) appears in front of him, and Soo-yeon, who he thought had disappeared, is trapped in a secret space closest to them and witnesses her bare face being stripped away. It will be released on the 20th.
