Actor Jung Woo-sung appeared at the Blue Dragon Film Awards.

On the afternoon of the 29th, the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards was held at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The awards ceremony that day was hosted by Han Ji-min and Lee Je-hoon.

The nominees for Best Actor were Lee Sung-min from ‘Handsome Guys’, Lee Je-hoon from ‘The Escape’, Jung Woo-sung from ‘Spring of Seoul’, Choi Min-sik from ‘The Grave’, and Hwang Jung-min from ‘Spring of Seoul’.

Jung Woo-sung, who introduced himself as “I‘m Jung Woo-sung” that day, went up on stage with Hwang Jung-min to receive the Most Audience Award. Since the scandal of his extramarital affair broke out, Jung Woo-sung’s appearance drew even more attention as he had not made his position clear about whether or not he would attend the Blue Dragon Film Awards.



Jung Woo-sung began his acceptance speech for the Most Valuable Audience Award for ‘Spring of Seoul’ by saying, “First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the audience who watched Spring of Seoul. I stand here today with the hope that my personal matters will not remain as a stain on the film and to all those who worked on ‘Spring of Seoul’.”

Jung Woo-sung then added, “I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who has sent me love and expectations for causing concern and disappointment.”



Lastly, Jung Woo-sung said, “I will take all the criticism and embrace it. As a father, I will take full responsibility for my son until the end,” he said before leaving.

Meanwhile, on the 24th, news broke that Jung Woo-sung was the biological father of a son born to model Moon Gabi.



Jung Woo-sung’s agency, Artist Company, stated, “The child that Moon Gabi revealed through SNS is indeed Jung Woo-sung’s biological child,” and “We are currently discussing the best way to raise the child, and as a father, I will take full responsibility for the child until the end.”

However, in addition to the news of Moon Gabi’s childbirth, the controversy grew even bigger when Jung Woo-sung sent DMs (direct messages) to women through SNS and his scandal with an ordinary woman surfaced.
