The new beginning of the ‘John Wick’ universe, ‘Ballerina’, is raising expectations for the movie by simultaneously releasing an overwhelming global poster around the world.
The new film in the John Wick universe, ‘Ballerina’, which has garnered attention for the meeting of actors Ana de Armas and Keanu Reeves, is an action blockbuster about Eve (Ana de Armas), a ballerina and killer affiliated with Rusca Roma who trained John Wick (Keanu Reeves) to be an assassin, giving up everything to avenge her murdered father. It is scheduled to be released next summer.
The released global poster immediately catches the eye with its outstanding visuals that are more than enough to satisfy fans‘ long wait. The intense aura of Ana de Armas’s fighting spirit as she plays Eve, who has grown into a perfect killer after undergoing rigorous training at the ballet company Rusca Roma, which trains assassins, is evident in her intense aura, while her tattoo with the words “Lux In Tenebris” (Light in the Darkness) and the gun hidden in the shadows catch the eye. This has a different meaning from the tattoo of John Wick, played by actor Keanu Reeves, which says ‘Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat’ (Fortune favors the brave), and makes people even more curious about what kind of chemistry Eve, who faces various enemies in order to avenge her father, will show with John Wick in the film and what kind of chemistry they will have in this new chapter of the John Wick universe.
‘Ballerina’, which covers the timeline between ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum’ and ‘John Wick 4’, has cast actress Ana de Armas, who left a deep impression on audiences around the world as a CIA agent Bond girl in ‘No Time to Die’, as the new lead. Keanu Reeves from the ‘John Wick’ series and Norman Reedus from the ‘The Walking Dead’ series have also been confirmed to appear. Also, Ian McShane, who played Winston, the manager of the Continental Hotel and John Wick‘s assistant in previous works, Anjelica Huston, who played the head director of Rusca Roma, which trains assassin ballerinas, and the late actor Lance Reddick, who was much loved for his role as the Continental Hotel concierge Sharon, have completed filming while they were alive and it will be released as his last work.
