Singer-songwriter Ahn Ye-eun is releasing her fourth EP, ‘Story Bag’.

Ahn Ye-eun will release her fourth EP, ‘Story Bag’, through various music sites on the 21st at 6 PM. It has been approximately 1 year and 9 months since Ahn Ye-eun released her regular album, ‘Easily Written Stories’, in February of last year.

Ahead of the album release, Ahn Ye-eun raised expectations for her comeback by revealing concept photos showing her transformation into a storyteller traveling between palaces and streets, and here are some of the points to look forward to in her new EP, ‘Story Bag’.

● Storyteller transformation… Five Stories in a Bundle

‘Bundle of Stories’ is an album in which Ahn Ye-eun transforms into a storyteller and unfolds five stories in a bundle. It opens with the story of the ‘Carp King’ who lived in Baekdu Mountain‘s Cheonji, and ends with the instrumental piece ‘Carp King (Inst.)’.

The bundle of stories told by ‘Carp King’ includes ‘Inae’, which is about being left alone and reminiscing about love; ‘The New Moon’, which projects the lonely feelings of the speaker onto the new moon; ‘That Love Was Not My Love’, which calmly and refreshingly expresses a heart that has become enlightened about love; ‘It’s Still Winter Here’, which depicts the story that it‘s spring for everyone but me. It’s still winter here, and other Ahn Ye-eun-style music that listeners can ‘pick’ listen to.

● Giving character to the dream carp… doubling the specialness

The title song ‘Carp King’ is a song that gives character to Ahn Ye-eun’s real dream of a carp, and Ahn Ye-eun made it more special by incorporating some of her own dream story into the lyrics. In particular, ‘Carp King’ is expected to present a strong addictiveness with the exciting sound of electroswing and the unique lyrics that describe the character of ‘Carp King’.

● From simple singing style to dancer group dance… a unique musical attempt

Ahn Ye-eun is attempting a unique musical style while composing all the songs in ‘Story Bag’ herself. In the track ‘Inside’, she conveys a more relaxed and simple sensibility than her usual singing style, and in ‘It’s Still Winter Here’, she challenges the bossa nova genre for the first time. Ahn Ye-eun also showed off her dancing skills with dancers in the music video teaser, so expectations are high for her music show stage for ‘Carp King’.
