Group Ace revealed their thoughts on releasing a full group album three years after all members completed their military service.
Ace will release their third single album ‘PINATA’ on the 20th at 6PM and begin full-scale promotions. Ahead of the album release, they held a media showcase at Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul that afternoon and introduced their new album themselves.
Member Kang Yu-chan expressed his overwhelming emotions, saying, “It‘s touching that all five of us have completed our military service and are returning as a full group. It’s such a new feeling. We‘ve worked our butts off.”
Lee Dong-hoon said, “The only wish the members had was for us to ‘live busy lives.’ He explained, “I’ve been busy since the beginning of this year, and I feel good that I’m wrapping it up nicely with ‘Piñata. ’”
Park Jun-hee said, “This is our 7th year, and I think we’re lucky that the five of us can release another album together. I’m so happy and grateful,” expressing his affection for the members. Kim Byung-kwan also said, “We haven’t been able to do many strong songs so I’m excited that the youngest, Yoochan, has joined and we can show a strong performance. I’m looking forward to our promotions.”
Lastly, Wow said, “After my military service, I wanted to show a strong performance with the members, and I’m grateful that it’s become a reality,” emphasizing that the title song ‘Piñata’ “contains the meaning of announcing our new beginning.”
Meanwhile, Ace’s first full-group new album since ‘Gunbaekgi’, ‘Piñata’, was inspired by the piñata, a doll used in children‘s festivals in the United States and Central and South American countries. It was interpreted as a place where negative emotions and senses such as human sadness and pain are sealed, and the process of releasing emotions within their ‘worldview’ was expressed.
