The group SEVENTEEN will be the first K-pop artists to perform on Disney‘s year-end special stage.
According to ABC on the 21st (Korean time), SEVENTEEN will appear on ‘The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular’, which will air on December 2nd, and perform a solo stage of ‘Santa Claus Is Coming to Town’.
‘The Wonderful World of Disney’ is Disney’s special program that is now in its 9th year. Previously, the show had a diverse lineup of famous artists including Mariah Carey, Michael Bolton, David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Kelly Clarkson, and Idina Menzel.
SEVENTEEN has proven their high status in North America by joining the lineup this year alongside legendary artists including Elton John, John Legend, and Pentatonix. The show will be hosted by actors Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro, co-hosts of the popular ABC show ‘Dancing with the Stars’.’SEVENTEEN previously successfully held their North American tour of the ‘Seventeen Right Here World Tour’ 10 times in 5 cities across the United States. Especially in Los Angeles, the final destination of the tour, they heated up the entire city by combining SEVENTEEN‘s performance content and IP with local infrastructure through ‘SEVENTEEN THE CITY’.
They will release their 4th Japanese single ‘Expiration Date’ (Shohikigen) on the 27th and embark on a dome tour there. The tour will start at Vantelin Dome Nagoya on the 29th and 30th, then continue at Tokyo Dome on December 4th and 5th, Kyocera Dome Osaka on the 12th and 14th and 15th, and Fukuoka PayPay Dome on the 19th and 21st and 22nd.
