LUCY member Choi Sang-yeop will be releasing the second song of the ‘Lovesome Project’, ‘She‘s Smiling’, today (the 1st).
‘She’s Smiling’ is a reinterpretation of Kim Hyung-joong‘s 2nd regular album’s title song ‘She‘s Smiling...’, released in 2004, with Choi Sang-yeop’s unique, charming vocals. The song is reborn with a fresh, yet warm mood, melting the emotions of one-sided love for only one person onto a newtro synth-pop sound.
Choi Sang-yeop has sung OSTs for various fields such as dramas, movies, and games. He recently participated in several drama OSTs such as tvN‘s ‘Parole Judge Lee Han-shin’, MBN’s ‘Bad Memories Eraser’, and Disney+‘s ‘Gangmae-gang’, increasing the immersion of the dramas. The OST music video for the popular game ‘MapleStory M’ sung by Choi Sang-yeop is very popular, surpassing 3 million views.
In addition, the band Lucy, which Choi Sang-yeop is a part of, has been on stage as a headliner for two consecutive years at the representative domestic festival ‘Grand Mint Festival 2024’, and has received much love for further enhancing the passionate atmosphere of the festival by releasing the theme song ‘So Nice (GMF Theme Song)’, which Lucy arranged in her own unique style.
With such outstanding singing ability and sensibility, Choi Sang-yeop has sung the OSTs of six works this year alone, and has become a true ‘gen-free OST craftsman’ by presenting festival theme songs and remake project songs, so expectations are high for his future activities.
The remake song ‘She’s Smiling’ sung by Choi Sang-yeop will be released today (1st) at 11 p.m. It will be released through various music sites at 6 o‘clock.
