Singer Eun Ga Eun has shared her feelings amidst the sharp conflict with her current agency, TSM Entertainment, after notifying them of the termination of her contract.
On the 3rd, Eun Ga Eun opened by saying on her SNS, “I should only be delivering good news, but I‘m sorry for worrying you. I’ve truly trusted the agency and worked with them all this time, and I held on with the mindset that we should do well even if I suffered a little loss.”
She continued, “The settlement money is an issue, but the reason the conflict with the agency began is because the agency‘s lazy and lax work continued to cause problems not only with the broadcasting station, but also with the senior singers... and the composers.” She said that the agency made her into a rude person who was unreachable to those involved.
Eun Ga Eun then said about the settlement money, “Throughout the period of my contract, the settlement money was never paid on the settlement date. It was always delayed, and I’ve never even seen a single receipt for the expense. I had to just accept the money as the agency wrote it and as it was given to me. I thought that was the way it was and that’s how I should be for five years,” she explained.
According to Eun Ga-eun, the agency only sent the money that day after this incident broke out. She complained, “This was after the false article saying ‘We never failed to give you the settlement money’ had already come out a long time ago. I didn’t even receive any supporting documents, and the agency instantly made me out to be a liar.”
Finally, Eun Ga-eun added, “I hoped this would be resolved amicably because I was worried that the people who trusted me would be harmed. It’s so hard. It was so hard to get here… I just want to sing good songs and work hard. I’m so sorry.”
Meanwhile, it was reported that Eun Ga-eun had previously notified her agency TSM Entertainment of the termination of her exclusive contract due to their negligence and non-payment of the settlement money. The agency completely denied the facts, saying, “We paid the full settlement amount, and in fact, we overpaid it,” and is not narrowing down their differences in stance.
Eun Ga-eun, who became known by taking 7th place on TV Chosun’s “Tomorrow is Miss Trot 2,” is planning to get married to singer Park Hyun-ho in April next year and is appearing on Channel A’s “These Days, Men’s Life - Groom Class” to reveal the process of their marriage.
● Below is Eun Ga-eun’s full statement
Hello, this is Eun Ga-eun..
I should only be delivering good news…I’m sorry for worrying you…
I’ve really trusted the agency and worked with them all this time…
I’ve held on with the thought that we should get along well together, even if it meant taking a little loss…
The settlement amount is a problem, but... the reason the conflict with the agency began was because the agency‘s lazy and lax work caused problems not only with the broadcasting station, but also with senior singers and composers. I found out too late that the agency that was supposed to protect me had made me into an unreachable and rude person to people who were really important to my singing career.
In fact, the settlement amount issue had been around for a long time. The settlement amount was never paid on the settlement date throughout the contract period. It was always delayed, and I never even saw a single receipt for the expenses. I had to just accept the money as the agency wrote it and gave it to me. I thought that was the way it should be, and I lived for 5 years...
After this incident broke out, the agency told the press that they had never given me the settlement amount, and then hurriedly sent the money that day... . False articles had already been published here and there...
My agency instantly turned me into a liar through media play..
As expected, I didn’t receive any supporting documents.. Does that mean I don‘t have the right to know how the money I earned by not being able to sleep and skipping meals was spent?... .
I’m worried that the people who trusted me and entrusted me with work will be harmed..
I‘m working hard on the work by myself..
I really didn’t want this problem to get bigger and hoped it would be resolved amicably..
It‘s so hard... ..
I really had a hard time getting here... More than anyone else and more than anything else, I just want to work hard to sing good songs and show you a good side of me.. I’m so sorry that I should only show you a good side of me...
