Can the title ‘Singer and Actor’ fit him better?
Lee Seung Gi, who has been active as an all-round entertainer for 20 years, is splendidly celebrating his 20th debut anniversary by simultaneously conquering both the big screen and music charts. While his screen comeback film ‘Big Family’, which is his first film in 6 years, is being released on the 11th, he also released his 20th anniversary album ‘With’ on the 4th.
‘With’ is an album in which Lee Seung Gi reinterprets 5 mega hit songs that were popular in the 2000s and 2010s, including ‘Turn Back’, ‘Because You‘re My Woman’, ‘Delete’, ‘Words That Are Hard to Say’, ‘Stories That Haven’t Been Told Yet’. Singers Lyn, Lee Soo, and Lee Moo-jin, his close colleagues, added their voices in a duet. The debut song ‘Because You‘re My Woman’ is a hot topic as singer and actor Cha Eun-woo, who is continuing the tradition of all-round entertainers, collaborated with his senior Lee Seung-gi.
Lee Seung-gi revealed the reason for preparing the remake album through his agency, saying, “Before releasing an album with a new song, I wanted to reintroduce Lee Seung-gi to the public as a singer.

Despite his busy schedule with movie releases and other activities, he devoted his heart and soul to preparing an album that would summarize his 20 years as a singer. He personally recruited colleagues who participated in the remake song work, and he himself appeared as the main character in the music video for the title song ‘Rewind’ to bring out the emotional atmosphere of the song. He even took charge of directing the recording of ‘Because You’re My Woman’.
For the time being, he will focus on promoting his movie as an actor, but he also plans to continue to appear on stage as a singer. Last month, he appeared as a guest at the solo concert of the composer group Captain Planet, who participated in ‘With’.
Lee Seung-gi said, “My goal is to make music that the public will enjoy,” and added, “My biggest desire is to work steadily for a long time and enjoyably. If there is a place where I can be used, that‘s enough,” once again revealing his strong will to pursue a career as a singer.
