Group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) achieved 2 crowns on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Chart.

According to Oricon on the 5th, SEVENTEEN‘s 4th Japanese single ‘Shohikigen(消費期限/Consumption Expiration Date)’ topped the latest ‘Weekly Combined Single Ranking’ (dated December 9/counting period November 25~December 1). This album also ranked first on Oricon’s ‘Weekly Single Ranking’, which was announced on the 3rd.

The ‘Weekly Single Combined Ranking’ is ranked by adding up CD sales, digital downloads, and streaming. Seventeen earned a total of 427,343 points, including 418,000 CD sales. Oricon described it as “the highest weekly points by a foreign artist for a single album this year.”

SEVENTEEN also set a record for the most consecutive #1s by a foreign artist, with four consecutive single albums topping the ranking, starting with their second Japanese single ‘Fallin’ Flower’ released in 2020.

‘Shohikigen’ also topped Billboard Japan’s latest ‘Top Single Sales’ (dated December 4 / compilation period November 25-December 1). The title song of the same name also showed SEVENTEEN’s high popularity in Japan, entering the ‘Hot 100’ at number two during the same period.

SEVENTEEN is meeting local fans through ‘SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN’. The tour, which began at the Vantelin Dome Nagoya on the 29th and 30th of last month, continued at the Tokyo Dome on the 4th, receiving an enthusiastic response.
