The group Baby Monster has placed both of their double title tracks from their first full-length album in the ranks of videos with hundreds of millions of views.
According to their agency YG Entertainment on the 9th, the music video for Baby Monster‘s double title track ‘CLIK CLAK’ from their first full-length album surpassed 100 million views on YouTube at around 3:30 AM that day. It is their 8th video to reach hundreds of millions of views in just 41 days since its release on October 30th.
‘CLIK CLAK’ is an original hip-hop genre song that garnered much attention for its unconventional attempt at having all members rap. In particular, their unique voice tones and flows on top of the restrained sound were highly addictive and received favorable reviews from music fans.
The music video also drew a hot response with its sensual visual beauty utilizing black and white tones and the essence of YG hip-hop. This video entered the top ranks of YouTube’s ‘Most Viewed Videos in 24 Hours’ immediately after its release, and was also named in the TOP 10 of the Global YouTube Daily Chart for four consecutive days.
In addition, with the official channel surpassing 7.68 million subscribers and close to 3.3 billion cumulative views, Baby Monster is showing off overwhelming influence among K-pop artists on YouTube. Not only that, but most of her appearances on music shows, various entertainment shows, and YouTube content are garnering millions of views, solidifying her reputation as the next-generation ‘YouTube Queen’.
Baby Monster released her first full-length album [DRIP] on the 1st and has been active on music shows, radio, and YouTube, and plans to release the music video for her follow-up song ‘Love In My Heart’ on the 16th. Also, they will kick off their first world tour since their debut on January 25th and 26th next year at the KSPO DOME in Seoul, and then move on to New Jersey and Los Angeles in the U.S. to expand their global base.
