The new band Dragon Pony has taken over Thailand‘s representative music festival following Korea.
Dragon Pony (Ahn Tae-gyu, Pyeon Seong-hyeon, Kwon Se-hyeok, Go Kang-hoon) met with local audiences at the ‘Big Mountain Music Festival’ held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand on the 8th.
The ‘Big Mountain Music Festival’ is one of the largest music festivals in Southeast Asia, including Thailand. Among the global artists active in various genres, Dragon Pony also proudly made it to the lineup, proving their rapid rise.
On that day, Dragon Pony opened strongly with the energetic band sound of ‘Tail-Eating Snake’. They then showed off their powerful vocals and excellent performance skills with a parade of their own compositions, including ‘Waste’, ‘Altruism’, and ‘Earthquake’.
They performed the title song ‘POP UP’ of their first EP that introduced Dragon Pony to the world, as well as ‘Traffic Jam’, ‘Pity Punk’, and ‘Morse Code’, one after another, combining a cheerful yet lyrical sensibility. In particular, Dragon Pony raised the heat of the scene to its peak with their cover stage of ‘Nong’ by the popular Thai band Three Man Down. Dragon Pony chose the unreleased song ‘Summerless Dream’ as their last song, showing off their presence with a long high-note section over a refreshing sound.
Since their debut in September, Dragon Pony has been active by decorating the opening of major domestic festivals such as the ‘2024 Busan International Rock Festival’ and ‘Grand Mint Festival 2024’. In the ‘Grand Mint Festival 2024’, they were selected as the ‘Best Rookie’, and their outstanding musicality and stage manners were recognized.
Dragon Pony, who recently successfully completed their first club tour ‘Dragon Pony POP-UP club LIVE’ with all tickets sold out, will continue their hot streak until the end of the year by appearing at ‘2024 Someday Christmas in Yeosu’ on the 21st and ‘Countdown Fantasy 2024-2025’ on the 30th.
