The group TWICE has released a music video for ‘Strategy’ filled only with the voices of the nine members.
TWICE made a comeback on December 6th at 2 PM (12 AM EST) with the release of their new mini album ‘STRATEGY’ and the title song ‘Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)’ (feat. Megan Thee Stallion). At 12 AM on the 9th, they responded to the support of global fans by releasing the ‘TWICE “Strategy” M/V (TWICE-TRATEGY ver.)’ (TWICE-TRATEGY ver.)) on their official SNS channels.
In the video, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu freely dance to the melody and smile brightly at each other, showing off their lovely charms. The members‘ unique visuals were captured with various camera angles and a lo-fi sensibility reminiscent of an early 2000s camcorder screen.
The new song ‘Strategy (feat. Megan Thee Stallion)’ is a song with a bold charm about attracting the one you love with various strategies. The hip-hop rhythm, heavy bass groove, and stylish synth chord work are in harmony, and the confident lyrics like “Hey boy Imma getcha Imma getcha real good and I betcha” are a point of appreciation. Megan Thee Stallion, a famous rapper who swept American popular music award ceremonies such as the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and Billboard Music Awards, participated as a featured artist, adding power and energy to the song.
The new album ‘STRATEGY’ topped the daily album charts of album aggregation sites Hanteo Chart and Circle Chart on the day of its release (the 6th), and as of the morning of the 9th, it ranked first on the iTunes Top Album charts in 15 regions overseas, including Japan, Brazil, and Mexico. The title song music video also ranked first on the daily popular music videos on YouTube in the US and Japan on the 6th.
TWICE is actively promoting their comeback. On the 4th, two days before the release of their new album, they held the ‘TWICE 14TH MINI ALBUM “STRATEGY” PREMIERE EVENT’ at the Konkuk University Seoul Campus New Millennium Concert Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, and created special memories with their fans. They are scheduled to appear on NHK’s 75th ‘Kōhaku Uta Gassen’, Japan‘s representative year-end special broadcast, on December 31st.
