A dog that appeared in a ‘Historical Music Video’ in place of its owner who is serving in the military. ‘Yeontan’, who was also selected as the most famous dog in the world, has passed away. Yeontan is the dog of BTS member V.
The music video that became a ‘Sad Coincidence’ is the carol ‘White Christmas’, a collaboration between the legend Bing Crosby and his owner V. ‘White Christmas’, which has been called the ‘signature’ of the season for decades, was ‘reconstructed’ by adding V‘s voice to Bing Crosby’s 1950s recording, and was released simultaneously worldwide on the 6th.
The ‘anticipated mega hit’, which features V in a familiar number, is gaining even more power with the music video that was released along with the song. In the ‘White Christmas’ music video, which was produced in the form of an animation, his pet dog ‘Yeontan’, who is well-known to the public, appeared in place of V, who was performing his military duty.
However, right before the release of the music video, the news of Yeontan‘s death was delivered directly by his pet V, causing shock. V recently posted on his personal SNS, “(Pet dog) Yeontan went on a long journey. He revealed, ”I think it’s right to tell ARMY (fandom) who have sent us so much love until now.“

The ending scene of ‘White Christmas’ is also drawing attention as it overlaps with the death of Yeontan, who was also ARMY‘s pet dog. In the last scene of the music video, the pet dog Yeontan is depicted as a ‘constellation’ in the night sky.
Illustrator Louis Pretzel, who was in charge of producing the music video, said, ”While working on the project, we heard the sad news that V’s pet dog Yeontan had passed away,“ and came up with the last scene ”to commemorate Yeontan.”
The ‘White Christmas’ music video, which has also become Yeontan‘s eternal archive, is currently recording high views, approaching 1.7 million in just three days on the global platform YouTube. The comment section is filled with messages in various languages remembering the dog Yeontan.
