The group Stray Kids will perform at the ‘2024 Billboard Music Awards’ (hereafter ‘2024 BBMAs’) for the second consecutive year.

On the 9th (local time), the Billboard Music Awards announced through their official SNS channel that Stray Kids will join the performer lineup for the ‘2024 BBMAs’, which will be held in Los Angeles, USA on the 12th. With this, Stray Kids will attend the ‘BBMAs’, one of the three major American pop music award ceremonies, as a performer for the second consecutive year, showing off their status as ‘Global Top Artists’.

Stray Kids will showcase two of this year‘s representative hit songs with energetic performances at the ‘2024 BBMAs’. Last year, they were the first 4th generation K-pop boy group to win the Top K-Pop Album trophy at the awards ceremony, and this year, they have been nominated for four awards, including Top Duo/Group, Top K-Pop Album, and Top Global K-Pop Artist. They are the only K-pop artist to have two mini albums, ‘樂-STAR’ (Rockstar) and ‘ATE’ (Eight), nominated for the Top K-Pop Album category, and as a nominee for the Top Duo/Group award, they are alongside world-renowned artists Blink-182, Coldplay, Fuerza Regida, and Linkin Park.

Stray Kids are having an unrivaled run on the US Billboard charts. Starting with the mini-album ‘ODDINARY’ in March 2022, they made a record by consecutively entering the ‘Billboard 200’ No. 1 with five works: ‘MAXIDENT’, ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’, ‘樂-STAR’, and ‘ATE’. With their latest work ‘ATE’ title song ‘Chk Chk Boom’, they succeeded in ranking on the ‘Hot 100’ chart, which is considered a major indicator of securing popularity in the pop market, for the third time, following ‘樂-STAR’ title song ‘락 (樂)’ and English single ‘Lose My Breath (Feat. Charlie Puth)’.

They are also continuing to win and be nominated at major overseas music award ceremonies. Following being selected as the winner of the Best K-Pop category at the ‘2023 MTV Video Music Awards’ in September 2023 for the title song ‘★★★★★ (5-STAR)’, ‘Special’, they also enjoyed the joy of winning awards at the ‘2024 People’s Choice Awards’ in February and the ‘2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards’ in April this year. Stray Kids‘ ‘SLASH’ (Slash) featured in the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine Original Motion Picture Soundtrack album has been nominated for the ‘67th Annual Grammy Awards’ (Best Compilation Soundtrack For Visual Media).

Stray Kids will release SKZHOP HIPTAPE ‘合 (HOP)’ (합 (합)) and its title track ‘Walkin On Water’ (워킨 오와 물) on December 13 at 2 PM (0 AM EST).
