Group SHINee member Onew will be releasing the digital single ‘Hooray’ today (the 12th) at 6 PM. It has been about 3 months since Onew released his new song, following the release of his previous 3rd mini-album ‘FLOW’.

‘Hooray’ reveals the inner loner that everyone living in today‘s busy society harbors. The lyrics contain the dual emotions of looking for a space that is all their own, despite being overwhelmed by the environment and people, but paradoxically disliking the loneliness of being alone.

‘Hooray’ in particular is a cheerful and refreshing song in which the guitar riff, bass riff, and vocal sample move as one organic entity. The unstoppable drums and powerful snare sounds represent the intense emotions of wanting to escape. The repetitive chorus melody that is easy for anyone to follow boasts high addictiveness as if it leads everyone to sing along.

The music video that will be released together with the sound source depicts Onew’s escape from staying in a deep underground cave until he leaves his comfort behind and goes through a long chimney to the outside world. Sometimes, small coincidences turn your world upside down, showing the truth that life can never be lived alone. Onew will delicately portray the emotional details of finally escaping the chimney and meeting a happy ending in a sensual visual beauty that encompasses reality and fantasy.

‘Manse’ is the pre-released single from Onew‘s 4th mini album that will be released next month. Onew previously demonstrated his evolved musical capabilities through his 3rd mini album ‘FLOW’, in which he personally participated in producing and writing all the songs. Onew, who is growing as a solo artist pursuing his own color, such as melting down the thoughts that he has, is also drawing attention to the new side that he will show through his new song ‘Hooray’.
