Day6 reverse run → G-Dragon‘s shortest ♥100,000... Melon’s year-end settlement part 1

Kakao Entertainment‘s music platform Melon has announced the first part of its 2024 year-end settlement.

Melon, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, plans to divide the year-end settlements of each of its representative services into parts 1 to 3 through its music big data analysis content ‘Data Lab’, and release them sequentially by early next year.

According to Melon Data Lab released on the 12th, the song that received the most likes from January 1 to November 12 this year was IU’s ‘Love wins all’. This song also recorded the highest number of actual listeners, proving that it was loved evenly by a wide range of listeners.

G-Dragon‘s new song ‘POWER’, which has returned after a long wait, confirmed the public’s unchanging interest and warm affection by recording 100,000 likes in the shortest time. The song that stayed in the top 10 of Melon TOP 100 chart for the longest period of time and received the most love this year is ‘Supernova’ by aespa, which won 7 awards including 3 grand prizes at MMA2024 (Melon Music Awards).

In ‘Melon Hall’, a space where Melon commemorates the honorable records of artists, a total of 46 albums achieved 1 million streams within 24 hours of release and were crowned ‘Million Albums’. This figure accounts for 0.0058% of all albums this year. 111 artists have entered the ‘Billion Club’ by achieving 1 billion cumulative streams.

Among them, Flav‘s 2nd mini-album ‘ASTERUM: 134-1’ set the ‘fastest’ record this year by surpassing 1 million streams in just 4 hours and 10 minutes after its release, while also achieving the ‘most’ streams of the year with 6.04 million in the first 24 hours of its release.

Aespa has added a total of 3 million albums this year alone, making them the only artist active in 2024 to ‘have 3 million albums’. Lee Young-ji’s first mini-album ‘16 Fantasy’ drew attention with the most dramatic record, reaching 1.01 million streams in just 23 hours and 50 minutes, with just 10 minutes left until the deadline.

At this year‘s Billions Club, Lim Young-woong earned the highest level of the DIA badge (cumulative streaming of over 10 billion), becoming the second artist to reach this level after BTS. Lim Young-woong also received much love from music fans, achieving a total of over 1.9 billion streams as the artist with the highest number of streams this year.

The track most selected by Melon DJs this year was DAY6’s ‘To Be A Page’. DAY6 enjoyed the best heyday since their debut, climbing the charts with both new and old songs, and received consistent love and attention from the public throughout the year.

The most played song on the DJ playlist, which gives a glimpse into the tastes of Melon users, was Sung Si-kyung‘s ‘All of Your Moments’. This song is the OST for the drama ‘My Love from the Star’, and even though it was released over 10 years ago, it is still loved and has established itself as a representative steady seller on the Melon chart.

The most played pop song on the DJ playlist was ‘I Don‘t Think That I Like Her’ by Charlie Puth, a pop star loved by Koreans.
