‘5th generation representative’ group BOYNEXTDOOR will make a surprise comeback in January next year.

On the 17th, their agency KOZ Entertainment announced that BOYNEXTDOOR would be releasing a new song on January 6th by revealing their comeback artwork on their official SNS.

The comeback artwork revealed on this day catches the eye with the words ‘Today I LOVE YOU’, the title of the new song, along with an emotional illustration. The boy in the blue image is sitting still, playing the guitar, and sometimes lying down as if he doesn‘t want to think about anything. He is blowing soap bubbles in the wind from an electric fan, sitting gloomily while holding balloons, and sitting in a bathtub with his clothes on, lost in thought. The sight of the boys in various situations piques curiosity about the new song.

Boy Next Door’s comeback this time was made possible by the strong will of the members. During their first solo tour held at Incheon Inspire Arena on the 14th and 15th, they said, “We prepared hard with the mindset of making a comeback in January for ONEDOOR (fandom name)” and gave a “comeback spoiler”, drawing enthusiastic cheers from fans.

Meanwhile, Boy Next Door has been active this year and has established itself both domestically and internationally. In particular, their third mini-album, ‘19.99’, released in September, recorded their first million-selling album since their debut and entered the US Billboard main album chart, ‘Billboard 200’, at number 40. According to Billboard Japan‘s 2024 year-end chart (compiled from November 27, 2023 to November 24, 2024) released on the 6th, they ranked 33rd on the main album chart ‘Hot Albums’, the highest ranking for a 5th generation K-pop group.
