They were also selected as ‘Stage Kings’ in ‘The 2024 K-pop Yearbook’ by American music media outlet Consequence of Sound, proving their reputation as ‘performance craftsmen’ once again.
Consequence praised them, saying, “When you watch SEVENTEEN on stage, you can immediately tell that they truly love what they do”, and “The members seem to have their passion engraved in their bloodstream after spending over 10 years together.” SEVENTEEN told the media, “All performances have a great meaning to us,” and “We will always do our best to put on a performance that CARAT (fandom name) can be proud of.”
SEVENTEEN is meeting fans around the world with 36 solo concerts this year, including the ‘SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR’. Including the ongoing Japan Dome Tour, their total annual online and offline audience is close to 1.5 million. SEVENTEEN was also the first K-pop artist to enter the main stage of the ‘Glastonbury Festival’ in the UK, receiving favorable reviews from local media, and also performed as a headliner at ‘Lollapalooza Berlin’ in Germany.
Based on these performances, SEVENTEEN won the ‘Top K-pop Touring Artist’ trophy at the ‘2024 Billboard Music Awards’, one of the four major music award ceremonies in the United States, on the 12th.
Meanwhile, major overseas media outlets are also covering SEVENTEEN. Billboard recently included their 12th mini album ‘SPILL THE FEELS’ on its ‘The 25 Best K-Pop Albums of 2024: Staff Picks’. ‘Spell’, included in the best album ‘17 IS RIGHT HERE’, was also named in ‘The 50 best K-pop tracks of 2024’ by Dazed in the UK and in ‘15 Best K-pop Music Videos of 2024’ by Teen Vogue in the US.
