“First in 15 years” ‘Monkyra’ Unprecedented broadcasting accident… DJ I.M‘s resolute response [Comprehensive]
MONSTA X’s I.M caught everyone‘s attention with his resolute response to the unprecedented broadcasting accident.
On the 18th at 10 PM, a broadcasting accident occurred on KBS Cool FM’s ‘Monsta X IM‘s Kiss the Radio’ (hereafter ‘Monkyra’) where no sound was transmitted for several minutes.
On that day, MONSTA X members Shownu and Minhyuk appeared as guests and the ‘Go! Yohan’s Invitational Seat’ corner was held. As all the active members, except for those on military leave, gathered, there was a lot of interest and anticipation.
However, a broadcasting accident occurred where the sound was not transmitted towards the end of Part 1. All sound was turned off on KBS KONG and YouTube Live. The accident continued for several minutes, and the production team quickly played BGM.
Fortunately, the mic worked, but the transmission was still uneven. After Shownu and Minhyuk left with short comments, I.M apologized, saying, “There was a technical issue at the end of Part 1, so the broadcast was uneven. We ask for your understanding.”
In Part 2, I.M went back and forth between the guest seats and the DJ seats in real time to conduct the broadcast. He didn’t panic too much and continued the broadcast calmly. He said, “The production team must be more stressed than I am, but I’m grateful that they’re working so hard.”
Ending the broadcast that day, I.M said, “The staff and production team across from me worked really hard, more than me. All I could do was continue the broadcast.” He continued, “There was an accident at the end of Part 1 where the broadcast wasn’t transmitted, and I think the people who were listening were really surprised. The directors also said that this was the first time they had experienced something like this in over 15 years of working. Thank you so much for being with us until the end in such a situation.” He also joked, “I think things will go better next year. I think we’ll be successful.”
Meanwhile, I.M will hold the ‘I.M WORLD TOUR 〈Off The Beat〉 FINAL IN SEOUL for three days from January 17 to 19, 2025 at the Olympic Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. This concert is the encore concert of the I.M World Tour, which was first held in Seoul in May. Previously, I.M proved his worth as an all-rounder by visiting 18 cities in 10 countries through his first solo tour.
