Lovelyz‘s main vocalist Kei is releasing a solo song for the first time in 5 years.

The digital single ‘Winter Garden’, released at 6 PM on the 19th, is Kei’s solo song in 5 years since her mini-album ‘Over and Over’ released in October 2019.

Although she has showcased her vocal range as a solo artist through various drama and musical OSTs, this is her first time showing her own music to the public in a long time, so expectations are high.

‘Winter Garden’ is an R&B ballad that maximizes Kei‘s sweet and delicate voice. With warm strings and piano, K’s voice harmonizes over the minimal sound, drawing a transparent winter with a pure white snowy landscape.

‘Winter Garden’ was composed by HOLLIN of producing team Monotree and Frankie Day and Ayushy of Team The Hub, while Monotree‘s pdly, 9june9, and K directly participated in writing the lyrics.

The lyrics of ‘Winter Garden’ contain the message that beautiful memories and hope for tomorrow can warm our hearts in the middle of winter when time seems to have frozen. Since Kei participated in writing the lyrics herself, each beautifully orchestrated lyric delicately captured her emotions.

In particular, with ‘Lovelyz’s father’ Yoon Sang participating as a sound supervisor, the song showcases both her vocal skills as a Lovelyz member and Kei‘s unique charm as a solo artist. Kei’s agency, A2Z Entertainment, said, “We hope that you can spend this winter warmly by sharing the warmth contained in the song with each other.”

Kei has been actively working as a musical actress this year, performing on stage in musicals such as ‘Notre Dame de Paris’‘Your Lie in April’. She also successfully completed a total of four solo concerts in Seoul, Macau, and Taiwan as part of her Lovelyz activities.
